Why does Lord of the Rings get all the credit when this, by any measure of writing quality, is undeniably a better book? Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge devotee (I won't demean it by using the word 'fan') of LotR....but this is just.....better. Richer, darker, chewier. Dark, vivid, and extraordinary fantasy.
