    A must have!

    Instructions are over complicated but once the item has been set up properly (including making sure the mechanism is in the correct order) this item is a dream! I bought a secondhand one but phoned the manufacturers as I couldn't work out how to tell when the battery was working-they phoned me back immediately and were very helpful. An absolute must-have when you sit down and figure out how to use it!

    Failed on first use.

    Bought to match an existing cat feeder ( the exact same model) that has worked flawlessly for years. Set it up and gone on holiday. My friend came by to refill and it hadn’t worked. Turns out the battery had dropped out. This has never happened on the one I already had. Cat had only been getting half his meals. Not impressed.

    Worth getting but incomplete

    Great product - I had a C50 feeder already and needed another - but the ice packs were missing and this wasn't mentioned in the information given. The feeder I bought new (exactly the same model) also came with an instruction leaflet that wasn't in this pack, although it's easy enough to work out how to use it.

    Good buy for feeding one sachet at a time

    A sensible bit of equipment to leave a pet for a couple of days. Might take time for your pet to get used to it. But worth it. Five compartments take 1 sachet of wet food each. Instructions easy to follow. Only good for 2 days at most for wet food because the freezer packs (included) wouldn't last longer. Timer is sturdy and instructions are clear.

    Cat Feeder.

    The Cat Mate C50 Automatic Feeder is over priced and does not always open when the timer is set. Sometimes it jumps to 2, food compartments so the cat can't get to the food. It seems you have to put some food in all the bowl segments, which is annoying and some wet food could go off. I would be too worried to rely on this item to feed my cat, if I went away for just a few nights! I only set the timer for the morning so the cat does not wake me up early for his dried food. Sometimes he gets the kibble, but sometimes he does not! I would not recommend this item if you want to give your cat just a small amount of food, while you are away.
