I sellotape firmly both ends, the address so that it does not get blurred if wet and then I also sellotape across the length and breadth of the parcel. Maybe if your brilliant postman and his colleagues had treated the parcel with respect it wouldn't have gotten torn in the first place. Sorry I didn't respond immediately but with my mother in a care home after fracturing her pelvis, I have been a little busy elsewhere!
