  • Time will tell

So a rodent got under the hood of my car and chewed a bunch of wires and bit into the wiring harnesses in several places. Twice. After fixing the first time I ran out of electrical tape so thought I would try this Honda rodent tape. This price was less than others I found online. This stuff is pricey but worth it if it works. After crimping small metal connectors on more than a dozen small wires I wrapped them with this stuff. It seems thicker than the other black tape I had but not quite as flexible and somewhat less sticky. But I tried to wrap it tight and maybe heat from the engine will soften and seal it.Well it's been about two weeks and no damage to wiring but now I park the car in the street instead of my driveway too. Time will tell.

  • Hot but not so hot

The electrical tape is of good quality and I like that it has little cutouts along the edge to aid in tearing. As far as how well it will work, only time will tell. OK, I admit it. I did chew a piece. I could feel the pepper just a little. It wasn't hot at all like I expected. Far, far less than tobasco sauce or a jalapeno. Maybe like a black pepper kernel. If I were a rat, I might have stopped chewing after a while to go get a drink. If I were a Mexican mouse, I'd probably come back for more.

  • If it works it's worth it.

It's only been on t h e wiring harness of my car a week. It's not enough time to assess whether it works or not. But I am very hopeful. And one more time passes and the mice haven't eliminated my air conditioning and other functions in my car I will be able to better recommend it

  • Sticks well

I'm hoping this keeps away the whatever is chewing on my cars wires, Honda made it so I'm sure it's good quality, sticks well to the wires hasn't come loose yet, a lot less expensive than having wiring fixed at the dealership.

  • So far, so good

So far, so good! I've had to take my car into the dealer twice for rodent damage. I can't afford $300 a pop every few weeks, so I'm giving this a try. So far, so good! The tape adheres very well and is indeed "hot". My husband tried it hahahaa! I've not had any sign of rodents since wrapping my wires.

  • Bought this to stop further mouse/rat da...

Bought this to stop further mouse/rat damage to my truck. Unknown if it works yet, as I just replaced the chewed wiring harness. I did taste it, and can say it was not delicious to my human tongue.

  • Expensive, hopefully worthwhile

seems to work, tape is good quality. Expensive, but if it keeps the rats away it is worth it. Time will Tell.

  • Honda Rodent Tape

I went to Sunnyvale Foreign Car Service, Inc. repair shop and had them use the Honda Rodent Tape to wrap as many exposed wires in my BMW car engine. It’s been 2 weeks and the rodents seem to be avoiding the wires.

  • Worth the money

Fantastic tape but. Wouldn’t have to buy it if the car makers hadn’t changed from regular wire to soy based wires - yum yum to rodents. Not very bright for car makers.
