    Terra Air pump

    So far so good. I must say this is very easy to set up. Be sure to buy a valve to stop water backing up into the motor if you are having the pump below the water line (better above) as it does not come supplied. Very cheap to buy. Also you need your own air stone or preferred bubbler to attach . This pump is very very quiet in fact I can only hear gentle purr of bubbles. This is the quietest I have ever had. You also get a choice of two colours which is a bonus. Fish are much happier now and helps to prevent scum on surface with water constantly moving.

    Hit and Miss - Noisy or Quiet

    Looking at other reviews, it looks a bit hit and miss is you get a quiet pump or a noisy one. Mine is noisy, I can't possibly use it in a family room or any room that you don't want noise. Even in our kitchen, it is the loudest thing unless the cooker extractor fan is going. Shame as I bought Tetra as I thought that it would be a good quality reliable pump. Looks like I need to buy another make.

    Near Silent Pump

    Excellent, quiet air pump.

    As a replacement for an old air pump this one turned out to be quieter and has an airflow control to let you regulate the air going into the tank. A very good product and worth considering.
