Edition is a bundled game that includes both games in a single product. Both games take you to exciting new worlds and feature hours of entertaining gameplay. GungHo Online Entertainment originally launched Puzzle & Dragons in 2012 as a mobile game for iOS and Android. Due to the success of the game, GungHo partnered up with Nintendo to release Puzzle & Dragon Z for the Nintendo 3DS gaming system. In 2015, the company released the bundled version featuring both games for the North American market. This version runs exclusively on the 3DS system and is not compatible with other consoles or platforms. This 3DS version features exciting new gameplay concepts, including content focused around Mario World characters such as Mario, Princess Peach, and Bowser. It also adds an exciting story element to the original game and allows you to use rare monsters that are hard to find in the mobile version. It is rated E for Everyone, so its content is appropriate for all ages. Both games are single player mode only, so you cannot add multiple players to the game. This Puzzle & Dragons game blends aspects of both the puzzle and RPG genre. The gameplay mainly focuses on solving puzzles, but players also follow a story and can play as specific characters. Puzzle & Dragons Z features similar gameplay to the original iOS and Android mobile game. You can put together a team of monsters and acquire new monsters to launch successful attacks. To battle your team, enter dungeons and solve puzzles. Your puzzle-solving skills help boost each monster’s attack skills. Once the skills are in place, your chosen monster battles an enemy monster. Your monsters can also gain experience over the course of the game, which strengthens their attack skills. The puzzles involve matching orbs on a game board. There are multiple combinations available to produce different skill sets for your monsters. Puzzle & Dragons Super Mario Bros. Edition swaps the monsters for Mario’s enemies and the dungeons for the scenery of the Mushroom Kingdom world. You also control Mario and his friends as you embark on a quest to save Princess Peach. There are eight worlds in the Super Mario Bros. Edition. You can also unlock Special Worlds towards the end of the game, which is more challenging than the regular versions. As you move through the game, you can search for items and collect them to increase your skills. Otherwise, it features many of the same gameplay elements as the rest of the series. You solve puzzles based on moving orbs on a board. The orbs display Mario symbols to tie in with the surroundings. Puzzle & Dragons Z + Puzzle & Dragons Super Mario Bros. Edition comes as a single 3DS card that contains both games. Some sellers offer the game with original packaging, whereas others may offer the card on its own.
