About this product

Product Information

Originally conceived of as "Advanced Dungeons & Dragons Tower of Mystery," Tower of Doom was in mid-production when Mattel Electronics went belly up. Luckily, for AD&D fans, INTV finished the program, though they changed the title to avoid licensing fees. The game has players guiding one of ten different characters (barbarian, warlord, knight, etc.) through ten different labyrinthine adventures, opening doors; collecting treasure, weapons, and food; and fighting or bargaining with monsters. The objective in each trap-ridden level is to escape via the exit. Randomized mazes, a variety of characters, colorfully detailed graphics, and a weapons inventory system make this game a winner for fans of action adventures. <!--Book-->

I just got this yesterday and I must say. I was pleasantly surprised by how early it came and how nicely packed the books was. I was also very happy that the books looked exactly like the pictures. Aside from the tracking fee (which is no big deal) but the value was not bad for 10 books. I would defenantly buy from this person again

  • Best Intellivision Game. PERIOD!

If you are an RPG crazy like me, you should buy an Intellivision just to play this game! Tower of Doom is better than a lot of new RPGs. It may have a simplistic design from an era gone by, but this game is challenging, fun, addictive, and was also way ahead of its time! Nostalgia gamers such as myself spend hours and even weeks looking for games this awesome!!! Buy it! The end.
