As a fan of Great Courses materials, this was a great find since transcripts are hard to come by (and I love the courses regarding ancient Rome/Greece and antiquity), and this seller has heaps of the stuff I'm looking for.     A lecture series that delivers way more than it promises

    An engrossing survey of our language, where it came from, and how it changes over time, continually. Engaging professor who mixes erudition with personal anecdotes to keep me engaged and wanting more. If you don't care for asides to other languages, many of which you have never heard of, then you may not enjoy this. But if the intrinsic elements of language give you a giddy feeling inside, then by all means buy this thing and prepare to be tickled.
