Recently I purchased brand new Tamron 70-200 G2 lens, an amazing lens with great performance, but I felt that 200mm focal length isn't just enough for me, but simply can not afford buying a new Telephoto-zoom lens, they cost a fortune. Decided to look into tele-converters. The best option was Tamron 2x tele-convertor but due to price, I decided to find some third party. As soon as I knew that this one is MADE IN JAPAN I decided to give it a chance! There are lots or rumors about AF not working , etc. So I purchased it for $119.99 (compared to $439 Tamron one, saving $300) and tried it on. The auto focus is performing pretty good! No problems at all, the only thing is when I was inspecting the photos on my computer, I noticed that some of them aren't sharp. So I am assuming the image stabilization ins' as good as without the TC. Its not a big deal, and plus I was testing in inside the mall, with poor lighting and moving people. I am definitely happy with purchase and saved money, and will 100% recommend it! Buy it, give it a chance, try it! If you will not like it, just return it. Best value!!! Cant beat the price! thank youRead full review

One of the questions for this review was for the value and to me something that saves you money and does a great job is more than a value. To buy a lens that is double the length you have is very expensive , for those of us with smaller bank accounts have to be more creative and do more research and when I found this one and it's made in Japan that works for me. It doubled my lens length and was a great buy. In my book you can't beat that combination, thanks for reading George

This is a great little teleconverter. I've only used it a couple of times, so I can't say how durable it is, but I will say it was well-packaged and even came with a little carry bag.

I knew what wanted when I ordered it, thus it is just what I wanted/needed. I've always hagood luck with Vivitar and this is no exception. Though it's not like a $1,000 lens, iis great for my purposes.

This is a good option for a teleconverter. Name brand (Vivitar) and build quality seems good. The only "bad" thing is that I didn't realize that the teleconverters on the market are made for EF lenses only, they will not fit EF-S lenses. Good news is that one of my 300mm lenses is an EF.
