I've only had the alarms a week or two and had them out for a session. They are my backup set actually but they seem to come as advertised and seem like a good value for the money. I wanted a 2nd set for when my kids fish with me and these seem like they will do the trick just fine.

It is hard to choose a set of alarms with a receiver these days. Many on offer for under £100 are of poor quality. However, this set is exceptionally good value and well made. I had a set a number of years ago, but, unfortunately had to sell my gear. Thankfully, I am now re-equipped and I did not hesitate to buy another set of these.

I bought these for £75 new. A bit on the big side for modern day alarms but they do what they say on the tin. 3 heads and a receiver means they are £19 per unit. This compares favourably with non remote units. You cannot miss which rod gets the run as 6 LEDs light up. I christened these with a 16lb and a 17lb. For £75 I don't think you can go wrong as Optonic have a good reputation.

this is the second set of the optonic bite alarms i have had, the first pair served me well for 10 years but got a bit grubby so i gave them to my brother. Then went out and brought the same alarms again. excellent value for the price. A good solid alarm that will not let you down
