    Very flexible kit

    This kit is for experienced modellers. There are no step by step instructions, just some diagrams of examples of the different signals you can build. You get the parts that can build a number of different signal configurations, and it is up to you to work out how to build them. This is exactly what I was after, as I have a couple of custom configurations to build, but if you need detailed instructions, this is not the kit for you.

    Nice scale models but too delicate for regular use.

    Very fiddly to build and rather delicate. The ladders in particular are very soft plastic and easily broken. Also their various parts don't really fit as they should, where is the top fitting for the ladder? Also if you want the signals working adding the wires and drilling out the holes is not easy without damage and I'm not sure they are going to last long without breaking. If you want them non-working they will be fine and they look good and to scale.

    Flimsy and of poor quality

    Having heard glowing reports of Ratio Kits so I was surprised by this signals kit. There was a lot of excess plastic attached to the sprunes making it difficult to decide which was actual model and what was waste. The ladders for example all broke when cutting them out. The diagram was too small, poorly annotated and it was not clear what parts fitted to what. The brief description was also scant and poorly explained. I have made many kits over the years but I have to say I will not be buying anymore Ratio ones.

    Detail that counts

    Well detailed multiple signals at a fraction of the cost of ready made. You do however require a lot of patience and skill in model making to achieve the best results.
