    Every home should have one of these installed.

    Hi, For years I've wished I could isolate the consumer unit from the mains without having to pull the mains fuse; once this isolator is installed it will solve the problem once and for all. Many new homes are already having such isolators installed and not before time either. If you are having work done on your consumer unit then I highly recommend having one of these isolators installed given their low cost; long term it will be money well spent. Kind regards, Colin.

    New colours make a nice addition

    Have used these mains switches on a number of occasions now, great for avoiding any future need to break seal tags and pull the mains fuse, and simple to fit .

    Great product and good service quicker than expected

    This is what it is, but made well as is WYLEX. Handy for consumer unit changes where no isolators are present. For the price might as well have a spare to get you out of trouble if you do this sort of thing all the time. You could argue not 18th edition compliant as it is combustible but is any of the suppliers equipment metal? no and normally the meter cabinet is technically external to the property these days anyway.

    OK product

    Fairly easy to fit one you spot the locking tabs which hold the switch to the backplate. Screws holding cover need a pz1 screwdriver and are a pain to start if you haven't first pre-located them in the backplate.
