Cannon and Nikon did their best to kill off the 4/3 concept and the Olympus brand. In the early days of the E500 and E1 the noise at high ASA might have been justified but was not justified by the time the E5 came out but the mud stuck. Fantastic build quality, excellent ergonomics, dust and showerproof with in camera stabilization and all for 1/3 the cost of Nikon and 1/2 the cost of Cannon. But what Nikon and Cannon shy away from and what Olympus wins hands down with (especially with the E5) is the colour reproduction. I can safely say no other digital camera can come close and in photography that's all that matters. It might be "only" 12.5 Mpixels but go compare and then decide. Also Olympus glass is in a class of its own and with the 4/3 system you dont have to lug around all those stupid overpriced huge lenses. It might make you look good but wont make you a good photographer. Forget about "going full frame" the only reason they have done that is to sell lenses and cut down the noise. Why are E5s hardly ever seen on Ebay? because they are so good they are never let go of.Read full review
