    3D Cell Maglite LED conversion

    I have an old, trusty 3'D cell Maglite. Great torch but it eats batteries and of course has the usual problems with the beam. I am hoping that battery life will be greatly extended with the LED bulb. Only drawback is the adjustment feature - from spot to pool - no longer functions, instead it is a combination of the two! And very powerful.

    Very Bright, Pricey but worth it.

    This lamp is very bright. the spectrum is somewhat blue, this slightly alters the perception of color on the object being viewed. if color identification is critical one might have some difficulty differentiating. With my Maglite I was unable to pull in a very tight pattern, however with that being said, if you want a very good bright light with a slightly wider broadcast area, this would be a great lamp for you. It most definitely is worth the greater cost. I use it for security where absolute color identification is not critical, yet very good illumination is important. I really like it. I have not had this lamp in service for an extended period of time, therefore I am unable to comment on the reliability with regard to rough service or longevity.

    Great LED replacement bulb. Brighter, whiter light. Should be longer lasting and consumes less.

    Massive improvement over the original incandescent bulb. I have no means of verifying this scientifically, but I would estimate it is almost twice as bright. The light it produces is a very 'clean' white light, not the yellow-ish light of the original bulb. Also it apparently will last much longer, although again I cannot verify this now. The bulb was a little tricky to fit (and I told the supplier they should provide some instructions - ANY instructions!). Very happy with this purchase.
