Funny and insightful
I love the Discworld series and have done ever since I first read The Colour of Magic nearly 30 years ago. This 3rd instalment deals very cleverly with the issue of gender equality, with Pratchett's usual sense of humour shining through.

When I first read Pratchett's books I didn't appreciate the satirical aspect of them. They're both funny AND a sharp commentary on mankind. I lent my copy of this book and never got it back, hence buying a new one!
