If you are interested in learning more about the evolution of our [and related] species, this provides a superb summary. It is easy to read and brings together strands of material into a coherent account of human development. Where there is insufficient knowledge to state absolute truths, the author makes well reasoned explanation, into credible explanations. A compelling read.
