    Another excellent book by Kingsolver!

    Barbara Kingsolver is a favourite author of mine, and 'Prodigal Summer' has no let me down so far (halfway through) I love her female characters and her depiction of the complexity of nature, and, indeed, the complexity of her characters.

    As with The Lacuna, both novels are hard going at the beginning but gather pace as chaptersprogress. This is a book for those intersted in conservation and the worth of Mother Nature. Interesting characters in the region of the American Appalatians.
