I waited for the price to come down to a level when to buy the protection was less then half of buying a new mirror. It has taken a while but now the time is right. Easy to fit, Philips screwdriver, is the only tool required. Dry fit first with the pads held with 'blue tack' to ensure correct position. Attach the fixing bars making sure the self tapping screws are secure and the plastic bars are still loose enough to clip over the inner edge of the mirror. Ensure to keep a little pressure on the centre of the cover, clip the bar over whilst tightening the screws and job done. These mirrors are very expensive with the heater and adjusting mechanism plus the indicator, even at £100 each. Much better value for money
I bought these mirror covers over "the other ones" as l was more interested in showing on coming vehicles the width of motorhome. These do that job perfectly making them much better value for money. They're made out of heavy duty plastic and are very easy to fit but do have small screws! I think they would offer some protection from brushing against a hedge row or a clash of mirrors from an on coming vehicle. I would recommend this product.I bought these mirror covers over "the other ones" as l was more interested in showing on coming vehicles the width of motorhome. Brilliant way to protect your wing mirrors and also transform the look To a much newer fancier looking motorhome. Also protecting your van for future trips as these wing mirrors are very expensive to replace. A must for motorhome owners.

I would add that they're a tight fit and and you need to be careful fitting them because they're held in place by two very small self tapping screws. Don't get it right first time and I think you could be in trouble.
