Update: if the batteries need changing in the Pfaff you could loose the memory for the stitches or if it looses power or the batteries could leak, the machine has to be powered up when you remove the batteries. I purchased my 25 years ago. Love it. My Pfaff was giving me problems, it would not come on, the board had gone out. I live in Houston Texas. I took it to two Pfaff dealers in Houston and they both told me to trash it and buy another one. I found Brubakers online and gave them a call. I shipped it to Glenn Smith at Brubakers and he brought it back to life that was in Jan. 2015. My pfaff is still going strong. I really appreciate the quality work that Brubakers does. Thanks Glenn

I bought this machine because I have owned one and loved it. That machine has been used to death and I was told that it would not survive another tune up. After looking for new machines, many with bad reviews right now, I turned to ebay to find a used version of the machine I love. The new one has not been used much and seems to work just fine. I am so happy with the purchase, saved at least a $1000. I waited and watched. Lost a few auctions. When looking to buy a used machine, beware of friend selling for a friend. If they do not sew, they do not know if parts are missing or how important those parts may be. Another 1475 was for sale on ebay, the description said missing accessory tray. Sounds like you can live without it. But if you are missing this tray you are sewing with a free arm machine and no table. Since 90% of your sewing is not done using the freearm, this missing piece makes a huge difference, not to mention all the feet are also in that tray. Read descriptions thoroughly. This machine arrived well packed and exactly as pictured. This machine has a built in walking foot, 19 needle positions, excellent satin atitch applique, weighs about 19 lbs and has tons of decorative stitches. I have used it to sew chiffon, satin, denim, and quilting. Any of the Pfaff sewing machines in this series would be a great addition to any sewer moving from beginning sewing to intermediate, including the 1471 and 1473. You will get much more value buying a machine like this on ebay than spending the same amount at a brick and mortar store.Read full review
I absolutely love this machine. Works like a charm and easy to use! I bought this machine since I was familiar with it as my sister has the same one which she purchased for four times the price many years ago. It has many features that allow for creativity. I recently learned how to quilt and this machine gets the job done without any difficulty. My favorite feature is the walking foot and easy needle threader. Since this was my first ebay purchase, I didn't know what to expect. I purchased it before Christmas and received it three weeks later. It was definitely packed well, however, the machine was extremely dirty when I received it and even had gum and scratches on the platform of the front of the machine! I know I purchased it used but the scratches were never mentioned in the add . The creative attachment designer also had a broken base( things I didn't see in the online picture.) Luckily after cleaning it, it looks like new-although I couldn't do anything about the scratches. Ultimately, I am happy with the purchase since I got this machine for a great price and it works fine . My only recommendation is to make sure you look at future purchases from every angle as much as possible. People only take pictures of what they want you to see.Read full review
I'm enjoying sewing again with this machine. I had a Pfaff 1475 for many years and loved it. However, I hit a pin hard while sewing one day and my wonderful Pfaff was never the same again despite numerous attempts to fix it. After several outings to test drive new sewing machines, some very high end, I didn't find one that could match the quality of stitches and other features I wanted. So I now have an almost previously untouched Pfaff Creative 1475 and I'm a happy camper! .

I bought my 1475CD sometime in the early 1990's and have sewn thousands of hours on it over the years. After all these years, it's still going strong (although I left it in a room with no heat at my camp in upstate New York one year, and now it takes about 30 minutes for the board to 'come alive'). Regardless, it's still my go-to machine. I'm probably like many other users who use about 1% of its functions ... but those 1% are wonderful! If I ever find another one for <$300, I'll buy a back-up in a heartbeat.
