What a fantastic price for this well built, quality piece of equipment. It comes virtually pre built and requires very little in the way of assembly. The ability to cut logs of all sizes exactly where you want them to split is amazing, no more missing with the axe or having logs of all different sizes. A useful alternative to a splitting axe.
This product is good for people who find a splitting axe difficult to use, but it diesn't provide quite as much power as a splitting axe. In addition, you will need a small axe to finish off some logs. I like it though because aiming is easier and there is less tendency for split logs to fly around and hit things. .
