Much lighter and easier to use.
This chair is far lighter than my old steel one. The 20" seat width makes it comfortable for me and it's rated to carry my 20 stone weight. My wife assures me that it's easier to push. The fact that the wheels can come off means that it's easier to store it in those awkward spaces when it's folded up..

Lightweight but sturdy
Bought this wheelchair to take Mum out a couple of times a week as she is no longer able to walk much outside. She is a tall lady with quite a wide frame so struggled to find a chair with a wide and high seat. (Her previous wheelchair was a bit low and rather snug in the seat) Mum is 5'8" and this suits her perfectly and the foot rests could be extended so she feels comfortable. It is very lightweight and the back folds down which makes it more compact when lifting into the car. freedom and independence for my husband
This chair is so very well made and comfortable. It's easy to manoeuvre and folds easily for carrying in the boot of the car (lucky we have a big boot as the chair is quite large but so is my husband so that's why we ordered the larger seat (20") model.)
