    good entertainment

    Complex personalities of Thomas and Sarah no longer securely living as servants (their choices) continue to manage in post WWI economics with empty pockets and ingenious new plans to earn daily bread. Successes are met with more career explosions and empty pockets as the couple splits and joins again and again. True love, abandon, and support.

    Thomas and Sarah: A Good Team

    For those of you who enjoyed the BBS series "Upstairs and Downstairs," you will find that "Thomas and Sarah," the wily chauffeur and the unorthodox and risque maid, will continue to entertain you with their shenanigans. Thomas, a tall,handsome, and bright fellow has many good ideas for making money, but none of them legal. The episodes are only loosely related, some excellent and others a little flat, but Sarah, played by Pauline Collins, always keeps you entertained, and you can't help but wonder how the two are going to extricate themselves from the web of deceit they have woven for themselves.

    Thomas and Sarah

    I loved Pauline Collins in Upstairs Downstairs and this is the follow up of her character Sarah. The BBC has always done fabulous period pieces and I think this was extremely well done with much attention to detail. If you like Pauline Collins as much as I do check her out in Shirley Valentine......set in England and Greece, present day. Wonderful 'coming of age' for the 50ish woman.
