Review : 70" Pan Head Tilt Travel Monopod Not bad - very good length - quite sturdy. Removed the foot rest as it serves no purpose and is a nuisance. Tilt screw handle is too long - pokes you in the shoulder - was able to swap with shorter one from an old tripod, but still intend to cut it down. Should have got a tripod with a quick release head - cost me another £10 to add one on. Only supported on 1 side by plastic casting, better if it was 2 sides. In spite of the above it serves the purpose

There is nothing wrong with this mono pod, as mono pods go. In fact my main reason for selecting this one from the many others was the height when fully extended. With the others, I would have to stoop to use. But, I have to say that I can't see the point of the pull down foot. If it could be locked in place, when in use. To act as a support when the pod is being used. But it doesn't help at all and as such is pointless. So I will be removing it asap. Would I buy this pod again? Yes.

Good buy. Strong and sturdy. I bought this to use to steady my binoculars, but unfortunately the stud to attach it to my binocular mount is too short, and I don't think this is going to be easy to fix.

Perfect little gadget for out and about.

I am no great photographer, but I did need something to steady the camera when I was out and about shooting. This little monopod is easy to carry, easy to put together, easily adjustable and sturdy enough for use when out in the field, it even doubled as a walking stick at one time. I left the camera attached to it all day (with the camera strap round my neck) and walked round adjusting height instantly with a flick of the tabs as needed, and the angle with a twist of a handle. My partner was so impressed that he came home and bought one for himself. He already had a much dearer one, but it wasn't as good or adaptable as this one. It comes in a nice little carry case that can be slung across your shoulder and collapses to an easily manageable size to fit into a rucksack. Highly ...

    OK for the price

I great little item for when you are out and about. It has a foot stabiliser which isn't really used. The telescopic leg itself is quite string and the clamps hold the sections quite securely. The head itself doesn't appear to be of strong quality so I wouldn't trust it with my expensive camera. However, you get what you pay for. Upgrade if and when you can and give this one to your Nan as a walking stick ;)

  • Does the job described

I use it mainly as a high reach pole, for overhead shots with a remote trigger. Would be better if you could fix the hinged foot to the pole when you don't need it. I have to use rubber bands
