  • Interesting story - but pictures are missing.

    Quite an interesting read, but there were very many references to pictures (photos) which were missing from this particular version. Such a shame. Also, there were a large number of phrases used from the French vernacular. Unless you are familiar with French vernacular of that time, i.e. 1940s - it is extremely difficult to translate them into English, as there was no cross-referencing to English, which would have been very useful to those who do not speak French fluently.
