Transaction fine. But this item has a design problem for Ford square peg batteries (lack of friction to fix isolator securely). I'll write to manufacturer to suggest a workaround remedy. I wonder why nobody has designed an isolator specifically for a square peg.

    Battery Disconnect

    This device disconnects a Car battery negative terminal using a thumb wheel switch, it’s purpose is to stop the battery draining over a long period of time when your not using the vehicle Old school piece of tech, solves an age old problem with simple idea and does it well, worth every penny

    Not ideal for Ford square peg battery.

    I'm sure owners with round peg batteries will find this an excellent product. But I bought it to fit a Ford square peg battery which the description says it is suitable for. The problem, aside from the tricky matter of inserting the provided spacers between the inside of the isolator and the battery terminal, is that everything has a smooth shiny surface which means there isn't sufficient friction between any of the surfaces to provide the necessary tight fit (I was told by a garage mechanic that this might fail an MOT if noticed during a test). Attempting to overcome this means having to over-tighten the bolt on the isolator which risks damaging the relatively fragile terminal and means it will also be a pain to remove if the battery has to come out of the car. I have no idea why ...
