    The design flaw of the Krups KVX231's power button leading to it breaking after a period of time is an irritation that appears to be widely known. Happily, I was able to replace it without unnecessary hassle, and the life of my grinder has ben extended. Fortunately, it arrived far sooner (3 days) than the delivery forecast shown when it was ordered.

    Delivered ahead of promised schedule and looks like an exact replacement for the original button. It's a pity that poor Krups design makes this prone to breaking! Cup setting knob wasn't needed as this came off fairly easily but the coarseness setting knob was a real struggle and I caused some damage to this.

    Excellent service from Zing. A design flaw in this grinder means that the pretty power button has a very limited life. Its operation involves bending a flimsy plastic arm, which inevitably breaks after a couple of years. The underlying electrics are undamaged. Any owner will need to get a supply of these (or bypass the underlying microswitch completely with a conventional button). Lots of how-to videos on YouTube.

    Perfect to repair this common problem

    None of the questions above are applicable to this spare part, but suffice to say that the on/off switch button supplied is perfect to repair the Achille's heel of these Krups coffee grinders. Disassembly is easy provided you follow the instructions video available via YouTube. Search "coffee grinder krups gvx2 repair".

    Lifesaver

    Thank you for the replacement button- grinder back up and running in no time. Didn’t use the grind selection knob yet but I have it now in case that goes wrong. Button easily screwed in where broken one came from, just slide off the cover (after removing knobs) and bobs your uncle. Thanks so much. Came on day you said it would and was just as described. Excellent ☕️👍
