    Tough, simple, reliable DVD player.

    My Sony 575 started at my store where it played movies (on repeat) all day long. This lasted from 1999 through 2005 at which point I took it home. It worked for me perfectly at home where I used it in S video mode through 2016 when it finally "gave up the ghost". I'm sure the issue was the motor that spun the disk. It was spinning too slowly for the laser to read. I couldn't find a replacement motor and was forced to get a new DVD player. The Sony gave my 17 years of service...it was a beast! My replacement...another Sony 575!

    Works fine.

    I had this same one for many many years and it stopped working. It probably needed to be cleaned but the manual said it could be opened only by a professional. So I got this refurbished one instead and it works just fine. It is lightweight and easy to connect.
