    Great film that stands the test of time

    A great story with fine actors and super music by Neil Diamond. No real violence and no foul language, just a good heartwarming tale about a Jewish cantor trying to make it in the pop world. The original film by the same title starred Al Jolson and was the first movie with synchronised sound made in 1927.
