The content of this book is like many other texts, concise, analytical, and otherwise indistinguishable. However, when considering the combination of both statistical analysis with classical thermodynamics, this book excels in managing both in a way that is sensible. Even though the book is from 1980, it still is relevant to statistical thermodynamics today, and it's age only hearkens to its availability and relatively little cost. Probably not recommended for light reading, but something that looks quite good on a bookshelf.The content of this book is like many other texts, concise, analytical, and otherwise indistinguishable.
