Must have!
It was the first time when two solos album of freddie mercury packed in one. And i think fans of freddie mercury are thrilled and exciting with this product. Because those solos very hard to find. In this mini boxset also we find bonus cd included beautiful singels as in my defence, great pretender, and love kills remix. The quality of sounds were great. Althoug this year we can buy another boxset of freddie mercury singels, i still recommend this album to be 'must have' album for any fans of Queen, or anyelses fans of rock n pop music.It was the first time when two solos album of freddie mercury packed in one. And i think fans of freddie mercury are thrilled and exciting with this product. Because those solos very hard to find. I bought this for the Mr Bad Guy disk - waited a long time for it to be available at a nice price. The rest, Barcelona etc, most of which can be best described as perpetrated rather than recorded, went straight in the bin.

This is an excellent way to hear Freddie at his best. His two original solo releases and a collection of singles never included on albums shows off his great talent as a song writer and singer are all together in this set. Mr Bad Guy is so underated as an Album. It shows the tremendous talent of Mercury as a singer, writer and producer. It is also VERY 80s synthesiser orientated which may distract from the showcasing of his talent. Some parts have blatant queen overtones and could esily have appeared on their albums, infact some did. Let's Turn it on is a great pop song with destinctive Brian May Guitar backing mixed with absolute eights programmed synth and drum machines. Made in Heaven was originally the title of this LP and was then hijacked for Queen's first album after Freddie's ... This is an excellent way to hear Freddie at his best. Made in Heaven was originally the title of this LP and was then hijacked for Queen's first album after Freddie's Death where they took this recording and added Brian Roger and John playing along (they might as well give all the tracks the same treatment). I was Born to Love you is a fantastic upbeat pop song with synth backing which defines the 80-s. Foolin Around is a probably the weakest track with Freddie singing about a 'foxy' lady fooling with him which may be why it does not quite work, similar to mercury deacon tracks such as pain is close to pleasure and rain must fall. Would not be out of place on A Kind of Magic or the Miracle. Your Kind of Lover again would fit on later queen albums. Mr Bad Guy is Genius and is so dramatic it would not be out of place in an opera. So Freddie So Pompous and Over the Top! Man Made paradise 80s disco could be a gay anthem....There must be more to life is a good mercury ballad and perhaps a precursor to the Miracle where his thinking is becoming more profound. Living on My Own is a great dance track probably one of the best known on this album thanks to a later remix. My Love is Dangerous. So is trying to do pseudo reggae! Love Me like there's no tomorrow is a brilliant ballad. Barcelona the LP is an interesting showcase of mercury's singing ability and his attempt to be a little more high brow. Whilst it is quite good it's not likely to win over any serious Opera fans but perhaps will encourage the masses to listen to a bit of opera. Barcelona the song enjoyed success and the LP is OK though seemingly they struggled to fill an entire albums worth as it runs at 38 mins where the last track is a mix up of all the others at nearly seven minutes long! The Fallen Priest, The Golden Boy and How Can I go On are all good. It is all worth a listen but you are unlikely to put it on repeat play. The Bonus CD is great. Larry Lurex I can Hear Music recorded and released pre-queen is something all queen fans have wanted to hear for years as it was so rare, interesting but not that exciting. Love Kills is just a fantastic song not available on any LP it could easily have fitted on Mr Bad Guy and is an absolute 80s synth backed morodor classic. The Great Pretender has almost become a signature song for Freddie and he really makes it his own in this fantastic cover. Living on my own is the dance remix that was a hit in clubs across europe and works well. In My defence and Time are good to have as they did not appear on a freddie LP. Love Kills is an interesting mix and reveals what it would have sounded like had queen included it on the Made in Heaven LP. All in All if you leke queen or Freddie you will want to own this!

Listened to this on my 15 hour drive to Vancouver Island mid February. Listened to it all the way back home as well. Still listening to it today! Absolutely love it!
