Might as well be titled "Best of Yngwie's independent years"....
There really isn't a whole lot to say about this CD, I think: a compilation of Yngwie's " independent years", nothing more, nothing less. Of course, diehards can always argue about the inclusion of this song, and the omission of that song, but that is inevitable. The only observation I can add is that it truly is a shame that the label behind this release couldn't get clearance to at least include one tune off "Fire & Ice" (namely "Teaser") to really cover the full 1990-2000 period but hey, record label politics are what they are, even more so when major labels are involved. But otherwise, I'd say that as far as compilations go, this is a pretty good one, highly recommended, specially for casual fans. He's song writing constantly evolving. Never one to sit back on royalties & live off what was. This album is another link in the chain, faultless solo's & an endless barrage of mind-blowing ability. Copy-cat 'guitarists' are a dime a dozen, this is the innovation the music world needs. 10/10 Get some Yngwie in your CD collection!Steve Vai? Jo Satriani? etc yawn! the best of yngwie malmsteen 1990-1999(cd 2000)
this cd has all the singles from 1990 - 1999 which is why i decided to buy it. i came accross this artist by chance and i was blown away by the words to the songs and the music. each song is equally as powerfull.

having listened to this artist in the late 80s, i thought i would see what his later work was like, and i wasnt disappointed!! brilliant!!
