About this product

Product Information

Can their friendship see them through the darkest of times? Meet The East End Angels, the newest members of Station Seventy-Five's ambulance crew . . . London, 1941. Frankie, Bella and Winnie are settling into life as ambulance crew members, doing their bit to help the war effort. The threat of air raids are a constant worry, but life continues regardless and the weight of responsibility weighs heavy on each of them. Frankie's grandfather is unwell and she promised him she would always look after grandmother Ivy, but the two women have never seen eye to eye. Then Frankie discovers something that makes her question everything she thought she knew . . . Winnie's natural leadership puts her at the forefront of the station and she's soon making the difficult decisions on call-outs. As she is exposed to a higher level of war and destruction, she begins to wonder how much more London can take - but how much more can she take? Bella is beginning to drive the ambulances, she is growing closer to James and her love for writing is opening up new doors for her. Then she receives devastating news about someone close to her and things begin to unravel. As life and war continues to test the East End Angels, will love and friendship be enough to guide them through the darkest of times? The second novel in the acclaimed East End Angels series, following Bella, Winnie and Frankie and their lives as members of Station Seventy-Five's ambulance crew. Perfect for fans of Sheila Newberry and Katie Flynn. Readers love the East End Angels series . . . 'Wonderfully written by one very talented author . . . highly recommended' 'I loved reading this book . . . so looking forward to the next in the series' 'Reminded me of Call the Midwife' 'Absolutely brilliant for recreating life in London during the Blitz' 'A very well-written and researched, warm-hearted book . . . with a bit of romance!' *Don't miss Rosie Hendry's brand new novel, THE MOTHER'S DAY CLUB, coming 18th February 2021 and available now to pre-order*

It is , what it says.

Loved it! One needs to read the first book initially: East End Angels, that this follows on from. Very realistic about life during the blitz from the ambulance girls. Based on true friendships of three women from totally different social classes.tells how life was in London during the war. Couldn't put either of the books down.
