My last SP185 lasted for years so I thought I'd get another, but it's discontinued. This one from Mower Shack appears brand new - perhaps a display model from B&Q? - and it started first time, seems fine. A steal at £200, I think I'll order another and keep it as spare for when I wreck this one. It DID come with a mulcher plug incidentally, thanks guys!

    Brilliant thanks.

    My old Mountfield drive cable snapped after a long working life. To get it replaced was going to cost about£120 at the local mower repairers. For an extra £40 I got a refurbished Mountford from you. When it arrived it looked brand new. Started first time.will recomend. Thank you. John J.

    A well thought out bit of kit much improved on its features from mount field.

    It helped with the self propulsion on this mower and i know for safety you need the control to be immediate but i found it quite tricky to operate the drive and turn the mower in one smooth motion, It also has no priming bulb to choke it and i thought oh dear may be a problem ,but it started ok on a very cold day. The height regulator moves all the wheels together a nice bonus when you are moving it on different terrains

    A new Mountfield lawnmower, a great replacement for an old Mountfield mower!

    I’ve had a Mountfield lawnmower for many years and this was an obvious replacement. It’s got an OHV engine which is much better than my old machine which had a side valve configuration. The grass box is a good size too. The self propelled speed is fine too and it doesn’t feel as if I’m chasing it around the lawn!

    Starts first time every time

    I am really pleased with this lawn mower it cuts great and adjusting cutting height is quick and easy as the lever adjusts all 4 wheels at the same time, It starts first time every time and to say it was refurbished you couldn't tell it looked brand new out of the box without a scratch on it.
