About this product

Product Information

No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle for Wii (release date 2010 from publisher Ubisoft) follows the successful trail laid down by the popular video game No More Heroes for Wii. No More Heroes 2 is the sequel to No More Heroes, and picks up where the original game left off. The game was developed by Grasshopper Manufacture for the Nintendo Wii and Nintendo Wii U video game systems, with versions for Xbox and Playstation 3 (PS3). You will play through a high-octane hack-and-slash adventure with No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle for Wii. The player once again assumes the role of the main character, Travis Touchdown, who is the top assassin in the United Assassins Association. In the original No More Heroes game, Travis was on a mission to become the top assassin, and at the end he walked away from the association. Now, three years after Travis became the top assassin, he is back in Santa Destroy. In No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle, Travis Touchdown must fight an assassin named Skelter Helter, who is seeking revenge on Travis for the death of his brother, Helter Skelter, prior to the first installment in the video game series. After this initial battle, Travis learns that he is now ranked 51st, so he must fight his way back to the top, knowing Skelter Helter and his co-conspirators will continue to seek their revenge. Soon after, Travis and his friend Bishop find themselves under attack from Jasper Batt, Jr., the CEO of Pizza Bat and first-ranked assassin. Bishop is killed, and No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle follows the path of Travis’s revenge on his friend. He will have to battle against outlandish opponents to move up the assassin ranks as he freely explores the far-out caricatured city of Santa Destroy. Many new characters inspired by anime emerge in this next installment of the No More Heroes story, as well as some returning characters from the original version, like Sylvia Christel. The combat in No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle is similar to that of No More Heroes, with returning actions like wrestling moves and deathblows. The overworld from the first No More Heroes Nintendo Wii game is gone, and to enter ranked battles Travis no longer has to pay an entry fee. This allows the player to move through the game more quickly. Travis can play 8-bit style minigames (in genres like puzzle, racing, and action) to gain money and become stronger. No More Heroes 2 also has a new feature called "Deathmatch" mode, which allows the player to replay the bosses after finishing the game. The gameplay largely revolves around fighting with a combination of wrestling moves and weapons. The main weapons Travis uses are a set of four beam katanas, each with its own special properties. Use the Wii Remote motion controls to wield one of these energy-beam kantana swords, such as the Peony, which is a large and heavy sword with a wide range, or the Rose Nasty, which consists of two beam katanas that Travis can wield dually. The stylized action and violence of these video games comes from the unique mind of creator Suda51, and due to its violent and gory nature, this Nintendo Wii game is rated M for mature.

    Looks brand new!!!!?!!!!

The game when I got it looks completely brand new with no smudges (except when I touched it) and not a single scratch on it! I wouldn't mind buying from this user again some time in the future

I beat the game in roughly one day, but it was still a really fun play. Definitely good replay value if you're a completionist like I am.
