This is a biographical look at the life of Patsy Cline (Jessica Lange), one of America's most beloved singers of the 1950's. Her professional singing career was meteoric but her personal life off stage was very different. She had a voice that could turn a simple love song into something that could give you chills down your spine, but just like so many women of that time, she struggled with a troubled marriage, with a violent and abusive husband, Charlie Dick (Ed Harris). While Lange and Harris were both superbly cast for these parts, so was Patsy's mother, Ann Wedgworth, who superbly portrays the solid-core Southern woman whom Patsy is emotionally dependent upon. In truth, Patsy Cline was one of those women who, although tough on the outside, often found herself too ... Although Charlie Dick beat her, abused her, and openly cheated on her, she stood by him until her untimely death in a plane crash. Her music survives her to this day, and to this day she is truly missed by many.

An amazing story...
Pasty died when I was ten years old...I don't remember it at the time, but have loved her voice and music forever. This movie is a quick look into her life and struggles.
