This Kidde alarm is ideal and can be checked regularly. The alarm is loud enough to be heard around the house. A good buy and swiftly received from the seller.

Have a read of the instructions as to where to put it as it seems quite particular, not that that is disadvantageous, just saying so you are safe rather than sorry. The 10 year guarantee is a great bonus so that makes the price worth it. it arrived well packed in it's box so perfect condition. Gave it 4 stars as it has only just been installed

    A neat and vigilent Carbon Monoxide detector

    Before choosing this Carbon Monoxide detector for a relative, I considered it carefully, bearing in mind the similar detector bought for our own house 6 years ago. I used the online 'Which?' survey, and found the review for this unit to be favourable. It is a convenient small brick shape so it will mount, sat on the top of a fridge freezer, or fixed by the supplied screws to a kitchen cupboard, with either placement facing the gas cooker. It is powered by 2 x replaceable AA Alkaline Cells (supplied), which should provide a long battery life. The expected lifetime of this detector is an adequate number of years. The 'test' button function gives an understanding of what an alert would sound like.

    Item works once batteries are instaled. I am not sure if it detects any CO2 as I have no faulty gas appliances that I know of . If I do have one I hope the alarm will sound.

    Quietly does it's job!

    Bought this alarm for peace of mind, putting it near our large wood burning stove as it gets a lot of use during the winter. It was quick and easy to set up, letting out a piercing beep as the batteries went in, and is now just doing it's job. Particularly like that it uses batteries, unlike my last one that the stove installer gave me, so it will last longer. I hope to never hear that beep again!!

    compact ,very good value for money and came with all fittings and batteries. works well when tested won't know if it works properly until I have an emergency with gas supply! it has a 10 year life and 1 year for the batteries. Also impressed with the prompt delivery.
