  • Tasco Luminova (660 x 60mm) Telescope

If you are looking for an inexpensive telescope to look at the moon and planets this is a telescope is a good choice. The craters of the moon are sharp and clear, the rings of Saturn are easily seen, and you can even see the colored clouds of Jupiter. The solar projection plate included with the telescope is a safe way to begin looking for sunspots. However, the tripod is very shaky which is very frustrating when trying to find other objects to observe. If you really want to see deep space objects then you should consider another telescope. I purchased this telescope because it is easy to set up and it is very portable. It is a good scope for those nights you when you don’t have much time but still would like to get out and observe something.
