Combining interviews, interactive comic books, music, and film clips, Silent Hill Experience is a multimedia package designed to capitalize on the interest generated from the 2006 film starring Radha Mitchell and Sean Bean. Fans of Konami’s atmospheric survival horror series can learn how the movie ties into the supernatural saga by reading a new comic book with animated panels and transition sequences that make use of the PSP controller. Also included is the previously released "Dying Inside" comic mini-series written by Scott Ciencin, specially adapted for the widescreen handheld with enhanced features. Rounding out the "experience" is a selection of 20 music tracks from the four Silent Hill games by composer Akira Yamaoka, an interview with movie director Christophe Gans, cinematic introductions to each game, and other spooky surprises.

    A good experience but lacking

    If you are a true Silent Hill fan you know how scary the games are. Almost every game has that one moment where you ask yourself, "What the heck is that!?" The Silent Hill Experience is a way to relive the games but is lacking in key areas. First of all this is not a game it is an interactive UMD made only for the PSP. The interactive ability is neat but you only get to explore the school not the town itself which would have been better. Another thing that is missing is the quanity of items. I mean sure you get to see videos, listen to music, and view comics but it seems like more could have been added. On the plus side though the comics are excellent. It is awsome how the setup is being able to read the comics right on your PSP. But the comics alone are really the only thing keeping it ...

    psp silent hill experience

    not for everybody, but great for silent hill fans and collectors. no action, not really a game, but it ha trailors from the games and movies, a few interviews, and some digital comics

    Not bad for a true Silent Hill fan

    I bought this UMD because I'm a big Silent Hill fan. Reviews on amazon.com already warned me not to expect much, but for the $9.99 I paid for it, this was a decent purchase. The UMD is not a movie or a game. Rather, it contains content peripheral to the Silent Hill universe, including graphics novels, which were the highlight of the experience for me. There are also trailers and a limited soundtrack. The low point of the UMD is the attempt at interactivity. To access this content, you have to move through screens in Silent Hill-esque locations, and this becomes tedious after a while.

    A good buy for fans!

    The Silent Hill comics are very cool, and true to the storytelling spirit embodied in the video games. The UMD also Includes some of the best music from the sereis and interviews with developers. A great buy.
