Product Information

The only officially licensed baseball game from a third-party publisher in 2006, Major League Baseball 2K6 for PSP retains many of the features found in the console versions. The game introduces a timing-based pitching system that involves tapping a button at specific moments to determine how close the ball will reach its intended target. Fielding now takes into account an athlete's momentum, allowing players to nudge or push the analog stick to jog or run. Stronger, riskier throws are also possible by applying pressure to the face buttons, while collisions can occur on the base paths or in the field. The experienced broadcasting team of Jon Miller and Joe Morgan handle commentary duties for the handheld version as well.<br><br>The PSP game includes Inside Edge scouting data to mimic real-life tendencies of the hitters and hurlers in the dugouts and bullpens. By spending a specific number of Inside Edge "points" during a game, players can learn where to pitch a particular hitter or determine the likelihood a pitcher is going to bring the heat in certain situations. In addition to the standard season, franchise, and playoff game modes, Major League Baseball 2K6 includes the international teams and all-star lineups from the inaugural World Baseball Classic. Exclusive to the PSP is a Home Run Derby mode that follows a season-style format, where players take on the top sluggers from each team in multiple contests. Would-be managers can also seek out opponents online using the handheld's Infrastructure Mode.

    Great Graphics and Gameplay!!! Must Have!!!!!

    This is one of the few chooses for Major League Baseball on the PSP!! The only other chose is Slugfest Loaded. It sounds fun and cool but it is terrible!! Major League 2k6 has amazing 3d graphics and the Franchise mode is amazing!! You can even create your own player on the PSP game and start as an unknown rookie and become a Major League All-Star. The game is a must have. There are also many other great modes in the game like create your own skybox!! You can win credits from doing good in the game and then you can use those credits to by things for your sky box and make it really cool. Its not just the players that have good graphics the stadiums and fan graphics are also amazing!! A++++ Great Game!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Hours of FUn

    I had purchased this game toplay against my 10 year old son as we have 2 PSP&apos;s in the house. A terrific game, but cant he let me win just once? We have lots of fun playing together. The only real con about this game is that the voice overs are incredibly slow and doesnt match up to the action in the game.

    A Grand Slam

    There is not much missing from this title. The game play is great the graphics are solid and the Gm career and franchise modes are very player oreinted, for example you can't edit the stadium or the prices of hotdogs like in MLB: The Show. The gameplay is superior far superior though. There are very few flaws and I havent really put the game down since buying it. The best handheld baseball game in town.

    I bought this game for husband because his birthday is coming up and he loves to play the sports games. The baseball types seems to be his favorites. Thank you very much
