Good old fashion drama
love to have this dvd as I watched in on tele only missed the start of it and also the end with all the adds mucking up the story line so now can watch it without interruption

Review: Band Of Angels
Similar to 'Gone With The Wind', Band Of Angels is a period film focussing upon another time in history, when slavery was prevalent in the south of USA. Clark Gable plays a strong, wealthy character whose sympathetic demeanor and generous nature towards the black servants is rewarded by their faithfulness and loyalty. Yvonne de Carlo is the female star who is the victim of family shame as her father's death results in her actual heritage being revealed as the white daughter of a slave's dalliance with her rich, plantation owning father.
