Janet's best album?
An album that feels like a greatest hits and not because 7 singles were released from it (they don't do this stuff anymore, do they?) but because apart from the brief in-between-songs bits, which I personally find mildly irritating, almost all the songs could stand alone as a radio-friendly track. The astonishing thing is that 2 of the best tracks were not even released as singles (This Time & The Body that Loves you), these 2 aside That's the Way Love Goes, If, Because of Love and the unlisted Oooops Now are classic Janet singles. This is up there with Control as Janet's best record, where she is open about her sexuality, without embarrassing herself and the listener, she is commercial and radio-friendly without being obvious. It's also a brilliant summer record, can't believe 15 summers ... This is one of Janet Jackson's grooviest and most accessible albums. It has a feel-good vibe and it features signature Janet Jackson tracks like 'That's The Way Love Goes', 'Again' and 'Anytime,Anyplace'. It also contains fantastic dance tunes such as 'If', 'Throb' and 'You Want This'. A real treat on the album is the rock-opera song 'Back' There is something for everyone on this album. It is also quite sensual. All in all, this is my favourite Janet Jackson album and one of the best R n'B albums of the '90's.This is one of Janet Jackson's grooviest and most accessible albums. Had this c.d. many years ago. Mislaid it through moving. Went to few records stores, but as I could'nt remember the title it was hard to find. Went onto e-bay, clicked on music, then onto Janet Jackson. And low and behold I had whole list with pictures covers ( which was useful, as I reconised it by by the cover ) bought it, recieved it within few days. Made life so much easier.
