2010 release from the legendary Rock guitarist containing 12 previously unreleased studio recordings. Ten of these recordings were made between February and May 1969 as the Jimi Hendrix Experience set out to create their sequel to the groundbreaking 1968 double album Electric Ladyland. Features 'Valleys of Neptune,' one of the most sought after of all of Hendrix's commercially unavailable recordings. Includes exciting 1969 arrangements of classic signature songs 'Red House', 'Fire' and 'Stone Free'. Also includes unheard studio versions of Hendrix's inspired interpretations of 'Bleeding Heart' by Elmore James and Cream's 'Sunshine of Your Love'. Mixed by Eddie Kramer, the engineer for all of Hendrix's albums throughout the guitarist's lifetime. Produced by Janie Hendrix, Eddie Kramer and John McDermott - the team behind all of the acclaimed Jimi Hendrix CD and DVD releases since 1996.

    Was the material before the exploitation Albums

    Really these tracks are mostly out takes and "rolling tape". Though , the songs are in formation to be : what will be on later albums . A few are jam sessions. But all are worth it ! Jimi and friends were finishing - up 1968's album : Electric ladyland ,and the '60s , in general, before they were over . And some of what will be on "midnight lightning " "Crash Landing" etc. -the 1970s sound / change to a more sophisticated, new effects and recording processes. If you-, like her and him (me) , dig Jimi's music , this album (CD) has a versatile line up , with that Hendrix style,sound, AND now progressive playing, writing , incorporating new interesting work, then, I strongly sponsor a go at this one (album) . Its been out a while , and The Hendrix Family will probably..never..allow ...

    Purchase only at a comfortable discount to avoid disappointment.

    Opinions here are only predicated on the ability to procure CD at a discount, as it is not awesome sauce. I would not advise a purchase at 'regular' CD prices, although heavily discounted would be a nice addition to your collection of Jimi Hendrix Experience music recordings. There is acceptable variety and sound quality within this CD product. Nice informational booklet with the CD as background info for the listening experience.
