Using it to sand floorboards in conservatory ready to be re varnished. Seems well built and has plenty of power so far so good.

Why pay more for the 9404
Outstanding sander, exactly the same as the one I used 35years ago when I started my apprenticeship as a bench joiner. Great power, good weight, the only difference is that now I'm big enough so that it doesn't drag me along the bench with everyone in the place laughing at me, and sending me to the store's for a left-handed screwdriver, a glass hammer or a box of sparks for the grinder! Gits! Anyway.. what's the point in buying the 9404 for double the money when, if you don't use a beltsander every day, this one will definitely do the job just as well.. as recommended by the carpenter who's just realised he's getting old and misses the "good old days" lolOutstanding sander, exactly the same as the one I used 35years ago when I started my apprenticeship as a bench joiner. Excellent Industrial Standard Tool
This sander is solid and heavy, which makes it easy in use. Simple design and manufacture to a high standard, the only belt sander you'll ever need. Incredible value for money, why pay twice as much?

Great industrial quality at half the price seemed heavy at first but don't let that put you off as is well balanced. Dust bag very effective. Only slight niggle is the lead could be longer. Parts readily available online if needed.Overall an absolute bargain.
