    A solution to using a microphone with Scottish lowland small pipes (pump-driven).

    This stand is the best solution to get a Shure SM58 under the chanter of the pipes - worked a treat. In previous years at the same gig I used a standard mike stand with a boom, but there were problems with the boom developing a droop and moving the mike away from the instrument while playing. No problem this time! It's also a more discreet. I quite understand there are more mainstream uses, but necessity is the mother of invention, and this well-made product is a smart and inexpensive solution. Alasdair (sound man) and Alistair (piper)

    Good value mic stand

    Really good quality for the price. Heavier than I was expecting and sturdy. I plan to use for bass drum mic. It's a bit high but should be fine if angled downwards. Otherwise it would be easy to disassemble and cut the main tube down to make it lower.

    Sturdy, stable, excellent for the price

    I wasn't expecting much for the price but needed a small mic stand in a hurry. I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality, which compares well with other more expensive (larger) stands I own. Does a good job supporting a 500g condenser mic and remained stable and sag-free over a lengthy session. I'll certainly look at Pulse products for future purchases.

    Pulse Small Mini Boom Microphone Stand

    The stand is nice and compact. It is light but very sturdy and of good quality (smaller version of a good quality full size microphone stand). I would recommend this for all sound stage applications eg:- bass drum, acoustic guitar, and other acoustic instruments where needed.
