  • Great im mickkim123 on e-bay I enjoy classic rock guitars bands books

Hi I actually saw Janis Joplin at the Atlanta pop festival she was awesome i'm a 59 year young hippy (laugh) and musician. This particular VHS is the best i've seen why dont they put it in blu-ray or dvd ?? After I saw and heard Janis only one female to me came close sheryl crowe but she was eagles don henley back-up singer Janis had no one. Anyway yes yes Janis fan's this vhs and the montrey pop festival to me was Janis at her best trust me you wont regret it.I was born jan 1955 the same year as rock n roll I saw and lived through it (laugh) a previlage to do this

  • Groovy movie

I bought this documentary at my girlfriend's urging - she'd seen it years ago - wanted to see it again - and we discovered that it had virtually disappeared from the video store shelves (and library) in our area. Though the film gets grainy at times, and the production values have an amateur quality, I felt delighted that it contains some performance, interview, and background footage of Janis and other rock legends I've not seen elsewhere. Once again I felt moved by Janis's inspired performances and wry insights. I had the sense of getting a more private view into Janis's life, and consider this documentary as a hidden treasure.

  • Janis - the way she was

I've been searching for this VHS for years. Janis is a phenomenon, one of the greatest blues singers of all time [she often wondered if she could be as good as Billie Holiday] & this tape has some of the greatest live concert footage & some interesting interviews - not meant to be the story of her life - just a glimpse. I've seen this tape on sale for as much as $120. I paid considerably less. THANK YOU!

  • Rare Janis Joplin Find!

One of my favorite purchases! I bought this for about $12.00 and on Amazon it goes for almost $40.00! The tape and box is in mint condition despite it's age. Tape plays excellent. The material on Janis Joplin is presented in a brilliant fashion, showing her great, legendary performances. Her interview segments are both charming and honest and shows her vulnerable side as well. Love. IT!!!!!
