I bought this drill as I had a job that needed a lot of core drilling. I was very happy with the performance of this drill, cut 127mm cores in to both brick and block work with no problems.

I'm a tradesman with more than 30 years of very varied work experience.(steel, concrete, timber framing, building, roofing, civil construction, plumbing, electrics) In my experience, never use any of these type of drills in the high speed selection mode when drilling into thick masonry with a diamond cutter or masonry drill bit, even an SDS bit. The drill has a very powerful clutch, but I recommend using it as with all others of the 1200 watt model, or a lower wattage,in low gear ratio. I had an extremely powerful two-speed AEG with AVS for many years, it lasted until the switch packed up after 15 years of constant use. If you want your drill to last, look after it. Use the lowest gear ratio, i.e. 1. for thick masonry, and pretty much for any type of diamond cutting work, as the diamonds also last longer when not overheated. I would recommend buying the one here with a higher wattage, as the motor will give you far better performance for heavy work. Read full review

So far so good. Better ask me in 2 years, I'll be able to appraise it better then.

I bought one if these and can't use it. The thread on the end of the drill (doesn't have a chuck) is a 22mm male with 2.5 pitch. Standard dry core drills are 15mm female bsp. There isn't an adaptor available. It's Chinese even though it says dispatched from Germany. Don't buy it.
