Babylon 5 was a fabulous concept for a sci-fi series with a really good, strong story arc overlaid with individual story lines by episode. Over the first 4 series you see personalities develop, unlikely alliances and friendships form and the good guys kick the butts of the bad guys culminating in a huge finale at the end of it all. Then you get to the final series. And well, it's okay but.... The bad guys are gone, the alliances are falling apart because they don't need each other any more and you are left with disjointed episodes where the minions of the bad guys get sorted out. The very last episode is good, in that it wraps the whole lot up perfectly, and was originally filmed to finish the 4th series before they decided to sneak another 20 episodes in before saying a proper goodbye. They really shouldn't have bothered. If you have to have all the set because, like me, you are just like that then the DVDs are good, far better than the video cassettes I had years ago - the quality is good and there are a few extras. If you are looking at just seeing how it all ends, don't bother.... Sheridan invites them all to get together one last time, they reminisce and then he dies.... there I've saved you £10Read full review
The series ended with a battle between Sheridan and the Psi Corps, nothing unusual, I missed Sheridan's influence over Susan.
