About this product

Product Information

Virtua Fighter 5 allows gamers to become one of 17 existing gladiators or take on a completely new persona by creating a character from scratch. Players may customize four separate costumes with a variety of accessories and weapons that feature a list of special abilities or are purely for aesthetic purposes. However, a ten-point system restricts the amount of items players can equip. Each trinket has a set point worth and once ten is reached no more items may be added to the fighter. Gamers can earn money for additional attire by winning matches and tournaments.

The existing avatars come from previous titles in the series and include newcomers El Blaze and Eileen. Each duelist comes to the ring with their own fighting style and finishing moves. In terms of gameplay, players have four modes to select from including "Dojo," "Arcade," "Replay," and "Versus." "Replay" records the brawl between two computer-guided characters for later viewing. Multiplayer action is available for two-player competitive action in a variety of environment based on real locations

Item arrived quickly and as described. It functions perfectly and was not damaged in transit despite the poor packaging of the item. I was honestly a little annoyed to have paid $5 for shipping on a $2 stamp, but it’s still a decent total price and made for an excellent gift. Don’t take my comments negatively; I would buy from this seller again and do recommend others consider this seller as well!

I use a shipping rate for Canada which is the same price no matter which game you buy. The Nintendo DS game that you bought happens to be extremely light. For 95%+ of the games, the shipping price makes sense. However, some games are heavier and some games are lighter than the average - so there is an aspect of fluctuation that I account for. But you're right about the total price, that's what matters, I also currently have "Best Offer" on - so you can always make an offer to get a better price.

Thanks to Yu Suzuki’s Sega Fighting Game

It’s been for few years since I played the demo version of Virtua Fighter 5 on the Xbox 360. The amazing thing is that Sega Am2 Developers in Japan made all the Graphics, Soundtracks, Gameplay Mechanics, and Cool features where you can play on any modes including online. That’s fantastic!

  • VF5 Online (Xbox 360)

Lots of options and customization features are what you'll find in this excellent translation of arcade to home port. You'll enjoy the Arcade mode and also like the various features that allow you to customize each fighter's clothing and also the statistical tracking of fights with each fighter. If you are a fan of the VF series, you'll enjoy this game. However, an arcade stick is highly recommend in order to get full control of your fighter. The control pad just doesn't cut it in the button mashing sequences to pull off some of the more complex moves.

  • Insane Learning Curve.

This game is fun don't get me wrong but it was not created for the xbox360 standard controller. So it will frustrate you on numerous occasions if you don't want to spend the extra cash on the 'fighting stick EX2' controller. The moves of the fighters are almost impossible to do using just regular controllers. I love the game; I wish they didn't make some of the button combinations so infuriating. If you own the ex2 already cause you are a fan then you don't need this review. Newbies should not worry, there are numerous games that can benefit from using the ex2 controller. It is not a waste of money.

  • Virtua Fighter 5 Online (Xbox 360)

Sega delivers the goods with its latest installment of the Virtua Fighter series, now (finally) with online play. Virtua Fighter has never been the flashiest fighter, but with the exception of the 3rd game, has always been the deepest and most rewarding in the genre. Each character is well balanced, and most can be picked up and played rather quickly. But it's in the more advanced characters, like Akira or Shun, where the game truly shines. The truth is, if you can master these characters in Virtua Fighter, you can conquer any other fighting game within minutes. The challenge of VF sets the enthusiast of this series above any other, demanding dedication and skill that I'll willingly invest. You can learn a few combos and move your way into the Dan ranks, but after that, only the truly ...

  • Best 3D Fighting game of it's genre?

Sure. Virtua Fighter 5 lives up to it's hype. Amazing graphics, receptive controllers, great eye candy and plenty of replay value. It definately offers more than it's predecessor in most aspects. But these menu navigation I find very complicated. Are games getting to complex for my old age? Maybe. But I feel programmers could have spent a little more time on this. However as it does not affect the game play I don't feel this should affect it's rating Great buy. You know you'll be able to purchase this game for a fraction of todays' price in a few months. So unless you are a Virtua Fighter fan you might want to wait a couple of months before you purchase
