    Reliable & east to use

I bought this to put up some interior tounge and grooved planks. I bought a selection pack of nails and used the smallest 11mm nails to pin the T&G to a base of sterling board. I thought I may have problems with jammed up nails etc. But now I have put nearly 4000 nails through it with NO PROBLEMS.I then used it to put up the skirting with the 32mm pins with no problems. My only slight critism is that the power lead is too short, sometimes at the top of a wall you end up having to hold the extension lead up or it is dangling at the end of the plug. You have to push on the body quite hard to get the nails totally flush , so it is really a two handed operation , but all in all , very quick and easy to use , and looks good quality. Will it last for years? I do not know yet. But so far I am ...

I can only just recommend the tool.

If you purchase one of these you need to do so with your eyes open as it has a serious drawback. Firstly, the tool is well made, nails are easy to load and up to now I have had no jams, the downside arises when you come to use it. Unless you put your whole body weight behind the gun and press down on it the nail doesn’t fully drive home even in a soft wood such as pine. I bought it to tack hold pieces until wood glue had set, I had assumed one hand holding the pieces and one hand holding the drill. On the other hand I have used it on other jobs where I simply want to fix something quickly and it’s fine although tapping home the brad with a hammer is a pain.

  • Great for feather edge fence

Bought for 20 metre feather edge fence, no problems with the gun, fired every time with no jamming. Only problem is the cable length, I had to hook the extension lead half way up so that I could reach top and bottom of the fence. Another metre of cable would have made it a super little tool.

The dogs b******s.As described in other reviews.Cable could be longer,But as a DIY use not a big issue.Would be nice to supply a few nails to test it.However when you get nails and test it, worked well brace the back with your spare hand remove soft gaurd at front and even the full length nails fire flush.

  • Iffy start. But worked well afterwards.

Fresh out of the box, read instructions put nails in. First one bang in it went. 2nd and subsequent ones, just a click. Nothing worth reading in the instructions so googled it. Found an answer, carried out the suggestion. Then it worked fine for over 400 nails without an issue, still great. D
