Original boards are in poor condition with marbled paper cover to boards missing to rear and damaged and loose to the front. Some damage to the leather spine and bumping and wear to edges. The marbled paper to inner boards is also coming away in places. However boards are holding nice and firm. The text block is tight and content generally clean and bright with some occasional foxing and light marks. Heavier foxing and marks to front and end papers and marbled pastedowns. Two illustrations have been partially neatly coloured (see photos). Previous owners incriptions to end paper. A scarce copy in orginal boards.”
